About Tibumana Waterfall
Tibumana Waterfall still belongs to the less visited waterfalls near Ubud. You won’t find lines of tourists here. Its popularity is increasing, though. Come as early as possible to avoid the busiest hours.
To reach the waterfall from the parking area, you have to walk for around 10 to 15 minutes. A narrow path leads through small rice fields with a few restaurants and food stalls on the way.
Locals also built a palm tree swing here, where you can take stunning photos.
Soon, you will reach stairs that will take you down to the valley to see the waterfall. To visit most waterfalls in Bali, you must climb up and down. The most difficult path was the one leading to Nung Nung waterfall.
Once you’re down in the valley, you can walk to the right to visit a temple or to the left to see the waterfall. The path leads through a lush green nature over bamboo bridges. You can admire beautiful Balinese flora on your way.
Just before you reach Tibumana Waterfall, you can notice another smaller waterfall on the right side. Unfortunately, it is not possible to swim here since the water is too shallow. However, it’s a perfect place for a refreshing shower and some photos.
A stone platform in the area provides a great place to leave your staff or sit down.
TIP: If you’re visiting Bali and have some extra time, we highly recommend adding Nusa Penida to your itinerary. Don’t skip Kelingking Beach, Diamond Beach, and Broken Beach.
Swimming in the waterfall
Tibumana Waterfall is 4 to 5 meters tall. You can swim in the natural pool beneath. Therefore make sure to bring your swimsuit as well. However, there’s no proper place to change. The water is slightly refreshing, perfect during hot sunny days.
Tip for a trip: If you’re looking for an unusual experience in Bali and don’t mind some physical activity, you should not skip Mount Batur sunrise hike.

- Do not leave any garbage here.
While swimming under the waterfall and enjoying the hydromassage it provides might sound appealing, it can be dangerous. The water stream is strong, and rocks can fall with it anytime.
