We booked Park Hotel Tokyo for our first nights in the city, and it turned out to be exactly the kind of base we hoped for — calm, beautifully designed, and surprisingly convenient for getting around.
The hotel is known for its art concept, but what really won us over were the views and how easy it was to reach Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, and the rest of Tokyo’s main spots.
If you’re looking for a place that feels a little more special than a standard business hotel, but still offers comfort, good food, and a quiet atmosphere after long days of exploring, this review will help you decide whether Park Hotel Tokyo is the right choice for your trip.

Our Experience
We arrived early in the morning to drop off our luggage, and the staff didn’t make it complicated at all — everything was handled quickly so we could start exploring straight away.
When we returned later to check in, the welcome already felt warm and personal. The lobby view alone stopped us for a moment; those huge windows frame Tokyo in a way that feels almost cinematic.
Our room had the same effect. The city looked incredible both during the day and at night, and on clear mornings we could even see Mount Fuji in the distance — something we genuinely didn’t expect. It became one of those small travel moments that stay with you.
Throughout our stay, the room was quiet, comfortable, and easy to settle into, and moving around Tokyo from Shiodome and Shimbashi couldn’t have been simpler. Coming back each evening to such a peaceful space was exactly what we needed.
Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and the staff were consistently helpful and friendly, which made the whole experience feel even better.
Overall, Park Hotel Tokyo delivered that rare mix of views, comfort, good food, and convenience.
Artist Rooms & Hotel Art Concept
One thing that really sets Park Hotel Tokyo apart is its art concept. Since 2012, the hotel has been inviting Japanese artists to stay on-site and transform selected rooms into one-of-a-kind “Artist Rooms.”
These aren’t just decorated — the artwork is painted directly onto the walls, so every room tells its own story. The entire 31st floor is already complete, and the 34th floor is currently being renovated to add even more.
The art doesn’t stop at the rooms either. Each guest floor has a “Corridor Gallery,” where you can walk through the hallways and see different exhibitions as if you were in a small museum.
Combined with the large windows and high ceilings throughout the hotel, it creates a calm, spacious atmosphere that feels more like an art space than a typical Tokyo hotel.
Facilities & Services
Park Hotel Tokyo has a calm, refined atmosphere from the moment you enter, and the artistic concept flows through the lobby and common areas. The lobby itself is a standout — bright, spacious, and perfect for taking in those wide Tokyo views while planning your day or waiting for your room.
The hotel also has two on-site restaurants. Art Colours Dining focuses on Western-style dishes in a contemporary setting, while Hanasanshou offers traditional Japanese cuisine.
We had dinner at Hanasanshou during our stay, and it was absolutely incredible — but we’ll share more about that later in the post.
The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, from storing our luggage early in the morning to answering questions and offering small local tips. It added a warm, personal feel to the stay and made everything easy from start to finish.
Breakfast & Dinner Review
Breakfast at Park Hotel Tokyo quickly became something we looked forward to. The selection was varied enough to keep things interesting each morning, and the quality was consistently good, from warm dishes to fruit and Japanese options.
It felt balanced, not overwhelming, and the calm dining atmosphere made it a nice start to the day before diving into the city.
For dinner, we chose Hanasanshou, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable meals of our stay. The dishes were beautifully presented, full of flavour, and felt genuinely authentic rather than touristy.
The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the whole experience had that warm, refined touch that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite.
Overall, both breakfast and dinner exceeded our expectations. Whether you’re staying for a couple of nights or using the hotel as a base for a longer trip, the dining options here are absolutely worth considering.
Pros & Cons
✅ Pros: The views are incredible — both from the lobby and the rooms — and on clear days, the glimpse of Mount Fuji feels like a bonus you don’t often get in Tokyo.
The location works perfectly for getting around, with Shiodome and Shimbashi just steps away.
We loved the calm, artistic atmosphere, the comfortable rooms, and the friendly, helpful staff throughout our stay. Breakfast and dinner both left a great impression, which isn’t always the case with hotel dining.
❌ Cons: Shiodome can feel a bit business-like at night, so if you prefer stepping out into lively streets with lots of restaurants, you might find it a little quiet.
Getting Around From the Hotel
One of the reasons Park Hotel Tokyo works so well as a base is how easy it is to get around from here.
Shiodome Station is just a few steps away, giving you direct access to the Oedo Line, and Shimbashi Station is only a short walk, where you can hop onto the JR Yamanote Line — the loop that connects Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Akihabara, Tokyo Station, and more.
This meant we could reach most places without transfers or long walks, and coming back in the evening was just as simple.
If you’re arriving from the airport, the location is just as convenient. Haneda is especially easy to reach by train, and Narita only requires one transfer.
Would We Stay Again?
Absolutely. Park Hotel Tokyo gave us everything we hoped for in our first Tokyo stay — calm atmosphere, incredible views, great food, and the kind of convenience that makes exploring the city effortless.
It’s a hotel we’d happily return to, especially for the higher-floor rooms and that peaceful start and end to each day.
We’d especially recommend it to couples, first-time visitors, and anyone who wants a stylish base without the noise and crowds right outside the door. If having great views, comfort, and easy transport are high on your list, this place is a fantastic choice.
