Our Editorial Policy

Welcome to our blog — we’re thrilled you’re here. Whether you’re planning a big adventure or just looking for inspiration, we’re grateful you’ve chosen to spend a little time with us.

We aim to create original, personal, and genuinely helpful travel guides that are easy to follow and based on our real experiences.

To stay true to that goal, we want to be open about how we create our content, what we choose to include, and how we work behind the scenes. That’s why we created our editorial policy.

How we create content

We write every article on this site — and only us. We don’t outsource our content, and we never will. This blog reflects our voice, our experiences, and the way we travel.

When we write a post, it’s based on our first-hand experience — places we’ve actually visited, routes we’ve taken, services we’ve personally tried, or things we’ve spent time researching in depth.

We also revisit older posts regularly and update them when things change — whether that’s opening times, entry prices, or a new tip we’ve learned on a return visit.

Original Photography & Regular Updates

Almost all the photography on themanduls.com is our own. We take our own photos during our trips and try to capture places as they are, not overly polished or filtered. We believe that original visuals make our content feel more personal and honest.

If we ever use an image that isn’t ours, it’s always credited and used with permission.

We also work to keep our blog updated with the most current information, especially on practical details like seasonal changes, closures, or entry fees. If something has changed since our visit, we’ll say so.

First-Hand Experiences

This blog isn’t a content mill or some faceless travel site. Every single guide we publish is based on our own first-hand experiences. We don’t write about destinations we barely know. That’s just not how we work.

In our opinion, this is the only way to build a travel resource that’s actually worth your time. By basing everything on real trips we’ve taken, we can give more honest, specific, and helpful recommendations — and help you avoid the tourist traps we’ve already learned to skip.

While some of the links in our posts are affiliate links, we only ever recommend tours, activities, products, or services that we’ve tried ourselves or believe you’ll enjoy. If it’s not something we’d book or buy, it doesn’t make it onto the blog. Simple as that.

Corrections and Feedback

If you ever notice something that’s no longer accurate — whether it’s outdated info, a place that’s closed, or anything that doesn’t seem right — we’d love to hear from you.

You can always reach us through our contact page, or let us know in the comments of the blog post. We appreciate it, and it helps us keep the blog as useful and trustworthy as possible.
